So this happened... It's not every day that you pull up to work and a true beauty like this is in your parking spot. How could I be mad? The driver caught me trying to get a stealth pic and offered to take the picture if I wanted to sit on the hood. Sweet of you to offer sir, but I'm gonna have to pass. The last few weeks have consisted of me spending the vast majority of my time with my new friend, the Blanchette Bridge. I practically live under it. Just like a troll. Here's a link if you'd like to see a small taste of my life in video form. This was actually pretty decent. Chicken apple sausage, baked sweet potato fries and some salad. Still felt like a little kid meal. I'll take it. This crazy purple-haired girl has also been making quite a few appearances in my life lately. Meet my new friend Katie. We work together in the tv world. She has the most fabulous hair (not to mention personality). Her hair is exactly what I would want if I wasn't on-air. Bangs because they're amazing. And a touch of purple for a touch of sass. Too bad bangs do not behave during windy outdoor live shots (I know this from experience...not a good look). And my theoretically awesome purple hair would be way too distracting for viewers when I need them focusing on important details of county government. Katie also happens to be an incredible cook. We like to have Nashville watch parties with her pretty cat, Ollie. I stare in amazement while Katie whips up something delicious. She actually said, "I think I'll make a sauce," the other day. I'm sorry, you'll MAKE a sauce? As in from scratch. On a whim. Sigh. P.s. Ollie is still deciding whether or not she likes me, so I do not have a picture of her. I'll get her soon...but until then I'll leave you with a pic of my own furry friend. Arty the Armadillo lives in my little brother's bathroom in Columbia (weird). The mystery of his existence and how he came to live in that bathroom makes me laugh out loud every time, so naturally I have to share. Thank you to the person who dedicated the time and attention to designing this little guy. Clearly we're all better off. "Thanks for reading!" - Arty & Em
